Today’s card is the Queen of Pentacles. I seem to be drawing a lot of Pentacles lately. Perhaps it’s because I’m working through some business ideas and focusing on increasing my personal wealth.
Let’s examine the card
The Queen sits on a wooden throne. The throne is carved with knot work and two bulls. She wears a red robe and a green cloak with a gold pentacle cloak pin. She has a shaman’s drum and uses a bone as the beater. She has bare feet.
There is a hare in the background along with either a setting sun or a rising sun. The sky is still dark, but light filters over the horizon.
An old tree stands in the distance. There are no leaves on this tree.
Pentacles is associated with Earth and winter.
What does it all mean?
The Queen is at one with the spirit of the land. Her bare feet show this connectedness. She is passionate (her red robe) but also grounded (her green cloak).
She is a wonderful hostess and a sympathetic friend. She is good with finances and is well organised. She represents the magic of hearth and home.
This card could represent a mature woman or man with these qualities. Or it could mean that you need to develop these qualities yourself.
