Daily Card – The High Priestess

The High Priestess is numbered II in the Major Arcana.

The High Priestess calls us to the deep feminine mysteries. In the foreground is a stone table with a book on it. The book has a pentagram on it. There is something else on the table but I’m not sure what it is.

Behind the table stands a woman with wild black hair. She’s wearing a blue and yellow robe. There are stars on the blue part. On the yellow part is a Celtic horse. She wears a blue cape with a spiral brooch. She also wears a necklace of acorns. Her hands are raised in worship.

The High Priestess stands in front of the gap between two large rocks. Beyond the rocks is a cat and a lake or ocean.

It is night. There stars are out and there is only a sliver of moon.

The book represents esoteric and occult knowledge.

Horse is a solar animal and travels between the worlds.

The spiral represents the cycles of life.

The High Priestess stands in the doorway to the spiritual realm. To enter the spiritual realm you must pass through her.

She holds the hidden knowledge of the feminine mysteries. She wears about her neck a necklace of infinite possibilities. She is a walker between worlds. She is an initiate in the mysteries of the goddess.
